  1. Ooh, that's an interesting topic pick! I'dd add Zinzi from Lauren Beukes' Zoo City (if you haven't read it yet, it's amazing) and Dru from the Strange Angels series.

    Great list! Here's mine:

    1. I've not read either of those books, but I'll look them up, thank you. Thank you for stopping by Leia Ann!

  2. Nice topic. It seems there are lots of penniless heroes in fiction. My favorite, I think, is Jacky Faber (from the Bloody Jack books by L.A. Meyer), a London street urchin who becomes the most feared pirate on the seas. She's a great heroine.

    Happy TTT!

    1. Thanks Susan. Bloody Jack sounds like something I would enjoy, I'll have to see if my library has any copies of it. Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Awesome topic with great choices even if I am forced to admit that I've only read one of the book (The Forest Of Hands And Teeth, which is an awesome book!)

  6. Nice topic although the only book I've read on here is The Hunger Games. I did mine on strong female characters in fiction, so check it out if you want:

  7. OOh interesting topic pick! I would've gone with tons of fairytales myself! LOL! That'd be the easy way out though! These are mostly new to me picks, but I did read Ink Exchange and can remember that one a bit and agree that it fits the topic! It was one of my favorites from the series that didn't involve Ashlinn. I think that was the spelling anyway...been too long! lol.

    1. Thanks Jessica. Ah man that would have been a good one, I didn't even think about that. Well I didn't really think about any much, I just used one of the examples The Broke and the Bookish provided. I'm going to have to get more creative lol. I loved Ink Exchanged. Thanks for stopping by.
