Feature and Follow # 6

Feature and Follow is a weekly feature hosted by TWO hosts: Alison from Alison Can Read and Parajunkee from Parajunkee's View. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way they will be able to show off more new blogs.

Rules:
1.) (REQUIRED) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts
2.) (REQUIRED) Follow the Featured Bloggers
3.) Put your Blog name and URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to put it in your post.
4.) Grab the button and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say ''hi'' and that they are now following you.
5.) If you are using Wordpress or another CMS that doesn't have GFC (Google Friend Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed.
6.) Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also don't just follow, comment and say ''hi''. Another blogger might not know you're a new follower if you don't say ''HI".
7.) If someone comments and say they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers.
8.) If you're new to the Follow Friday hop, comment and let the hosts know so they can check out your blog.

This weeks question:

How do you cure a book hangover/ blogging slump/ reading slump?

Book hangover:
I'll wait a day or two before starting the review or another book, and I'll re-read my favorite parts and quotes and stay in that world a little longer.

Blogging slump:
So far I've not had a blogging slump, since I just started in January but I try not to let it feel like a job. Blogging is something that is fun for me and I don't want it to feel like work so if things start to get a little tedious then I'll stop posting a meme or two for about two weeks and take time slow down a bit then I'll start back to my routine.

Reading slump:
I've experienced a few of these before and I don't like them lol. If I start to get into a mode where I don't feel like reading then I know it's time to take a break and focus some of my excess time into something else. I never want to get to the point where I never want to read again.

What do you do to cure a book hangover/ blogging slump/ reading slump?

  1. Yeah slumps always suck. You'll probably get a blogging slump eventually (hopefully not for a long time) but memes like FF to fall back on always help. :D Happy Friday! My FF

  2. For slumps I just try to read a book that I REALLY want to read and it usually helps!

  3. Nice advice! I personally never had any of these either. Reading is too fun for me and I am always eager for the next read! There's a sort of basking in the most current read that I get when I write a review and try to put a clamp on my gushing! But I just love reading and blogging. A slump isn't possible when there are still too many books to read! LOL!

    Here's my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT day!

    1. We can be newbies together lol. I try not to let myself get overwhelmed and realize that right now everything is still a learning experience for me and it may take me a little while to find out what works best for me. Your welcome, and Thank you for stopping by and for following.

  6. I am beginning to be a big believer in taking a time out completely and mentally switching gears. Sometimes I do just snap out of slumps because something grabs me but when it gets bad, I stop. Thx for sharing this! Here's mine: http://editingeverything.com/blog/2015/05/05/follow-friday-1-better-late-than-never/

    1. As much as I love reading and would love nothing more than to spend all my time reading, I just have to take breaks from it every now and then so I don't get burned out on it. Thanks for stopping by Verushka.
